Washington—Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement on House passage of a resolution calling for public release of the Mueller report and findings:
“The Mueller investigation and other investigations into wrongdoing by President Trump and his associates are of national significance and have substantial implications for the rule of law and stability of our democracy. This work cannot be hidden away.
“To me, Bob Mueller’s report is a very significant document and Congress and the public must be allowed to see it in its entirety, along with supporting materials.
“We know the Mueller investigation hasn’t been an esoteric exercise. It has already led to the indictment of 37 individuals – including six Trump advisors – seven guilty pleas and one trial conviction. It has also raised serious questions about the conduct of the president, his campaign and his advisors.
“That’s why the report must be made public, and I hope the Senate is able to vote on this resolution as soon as possible.”
