Washington—Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released the following statement after the FBI said it has “grave concerns” about the release of the Nunes memo:
“Today’s announcement that the FBI has ‘grave concerns’ about the Nunes memo is the latest reason not to release it.
“It’s clear the goal is to undermine the special counsel’s investigation. If transparency were the objective, Republicans would support releasing the Democratic memo simultaneously, but instead they’re blocking it.
“There have also been reports that Congressman Nunes refuses to answer whether his staff worked with the White House on the memo’s creation. There’s no excuse for playing politics with highly classified information. The president shouldn’t place personal or partisan interests above our national security.”
