Kash Patel Praises Radical Extremists

Kash Patel has frequently associated with—and sometimes praised—extremist figures with well-documented histories of racist, antisemitic, conspiratorial, or violent statements or beliefs.

This history is extremely concerning for someone who may be a top law enforcement officer.

Ted Nugent is a radical political activist who referred to President Obama as a “subhuman mongrel,” as well as referring to Jewish people who supported gun safety laws as “Nazis in disguise” and crudely disparaging the late Senator Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, and Hillary Clinton. Kash Patel called him “the best of USA” and even participated in an interview with him that Patel failed to disclose to the Committee.

Laura Loomer is a far-right political activist and conspiracy theorist who called the September 11th terrorist attack an “inside job” and accused Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis of exaggerating her cancer diagnosis for sympathy. Kash Patel appeared with Loomer while promoting his book and seemingly promoted her book as well.

Stew Peters is a far-right internet personality who promotes abhorrent conspiracy theories, including that Chief Justice Roberts and Vice President Pence were pedophiles. He also called for Anthony Fauci’s execution, worked with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, and posted a picture of himself smiling with a copy of Mein Kampf with the caption “Visionary leadership.” Kash Patel made eight separate appearances on his podcast, according to his questionnaire.

Joe Kent was a congressional candidate in Washington who has ties to multiple neo-Nazi influencers. Kash Patel endorsed him in his race.

Doug Mastriano was a gubernatorial candidate in Pennsylvania who wore a Confederate uniform, compared abortion in the United States to the Holocaust, paid a white nationalist-friendly social media platform, and hired a former member of the Oath Keepers. Kash Patel endorsed him and called him a “patriot” and a “warrior.”

U.S. Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the following statement:

“Kash Patel has a history of associating with extremist figures who have well-documented histories of racist, antisemitic, and conspiratorial statements and beliefs. This lack of judgment is very concerning for someone who hopes to be our nation’s top law enforcement officer.”
