Chairman Graham Calls on Justice Department to Investigate Horrific Portland Mob Attack
WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today released this statement after video was released of a man being attacked by a mob in Portland, Oregon.
“So much for ‘peaceful protests’ in Portland. This shocking attack by a mob against a young man in the streets of Portland is beyond the pale.
“They taunted and tortured this individual before severely injuring him. The group responsible are great candidates for federal prosecution for violation of the Constitutional rights of the victim.
“I would urge the Department of Justice to actively pursue prosecution of the perpetrators of this horrific attack.”
