WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement after the committee advanced the nomination of Joseph Dawson to be a U.S. District Judge for the District of South Carolina. His nomination now awaits a vote by the full Senate.
“I’m very pleased the committee reported out Joseph Dawson to be the new federal district court judge for the state of South Carolina,” said Graham. “Mr. Dawson is highly qualified and well-respected. I look forward to his approval on the Senate floor.”
In addition to Dawson, the committee also advanced four other judicial nominees.
