Graham Statement on Dawson Confirmation

WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Joseph Dawson to be a U.S. District Judge for the District of South Carolina.

“I’m very pleased that Mr. Dawson received bipartisan support to be the newest federal district court judge for South Carolina.

“Mr. Dawson is an outstanding man and well-respected lawyer. He’ll be a great addition to the South Carolina federal bench.

“Congratulations to Mr. Dawson, to his family and his friends.”

Dawson was confirmed by a bipartisan vote of 56-39.
